About the Course

The Welder trade under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) trains learners in metal joining, fabrication, and cutting operations using gas, arc, MIG/MAG, TIG, and plasma technologies.

It blends practical workshop training with engineering theory and safety practice, preparing trainees for jobs in construction, manufacturing, ship-building, automobile, and repair industries.

Approved by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India.

Hands-On Training Highlights

Welding

Butt and fillet welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

Piping

Pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-plate welding practice.

Fabrication

Gas cutting, arc gouging, and weld defect repair.

Inspection
